F1 Race in Sepang April 2007

Its a double win for McLaren team in their recent F1 race in Sepang where their 2 drivers, Alonso and Hamilton finish 1 and 2 positions...Their amazing and consistent performance help McLaren to stay on the top of the competition...
I was very happy to watch this 2 drivers manage to seal the first and second position on the podium...It was really amazing to watch their machines capability to take over Felippe Massa and Kimi Raikonnen at the beginning of the race...
Alonso start the race from the second position and Hamilton from the fourth place, while both Ferrari drivers - Massa and Raikonnen start in first and third position subsequently...
When the green light was given to all the drivers, Alonso make use of his machine pick up power to cut in the right space to overtake Massa...While Hamilton cleverly follow closely at the back of Raikonnen before taking his turn to overtake both of the Ferrari drivers at the first corner of the race...Despite of tight space between him and Massa while he's trying to overtake them, he manage to escape himself to be in the front of Massa...What a superb skills they show...
Hamilton made use of his second place to block and slow down the Ferrari drivers and gave the chance for Alonso to left the other drivers far away behind...Alonso comfortably leave the other drivers with as far as 20s time gap from Hamilton (second place)...Wow! for sure he can enjoy himself very much while finishing the laps...hehe...
Since Alonso is too far away already, the competition for the second place are open for Hamilton, Massa and Raikonnen...It was Massa who follow closely behind Hamilton and I was really enjoy the race between them...Massa did tried a few times to cut in for the second place but Hamilton manage to get back the position when Massa slow down at the outside of the corner...
In the fifth laps (if I'm not mistaken), Massa really can't wait any longer and he keep pushing his machine forward to overtake Hamilton untill he was late to break and cause his machine slide out of the track...heh...But he manage to get into the track again but this time, he was at the fifth position behind Nick Heidfeld (riding in BMW Sauber)...Massa tried to gain back his third position but he can't even overtake Hiedfeld..heh...
So, the racing for the second place was on Hamilton and Kimi Raikonnen....Fortunately, Hamilton manage to gap himself for about 2.6s infront of Kimi....But, quite interesting when it almost came to the end of the race (at the 50th lap), Kimi push his machine as maximum as he can to chase Hamilton...but as far as he close the time gap between him and Hamilton from 2.6s to 1.3s...the race was almost came to the final lap...and so, Hamilton manage to finish second while his team mate, Alonso in the first place...What a interesting race!!....

Man U Second Defeat in EPL 2007

Watching the recent games in EPL between Man U and Portsmouth really makes me smile...Man U was beaten by the Portsmouth with 2 goals which is one of the goal sincerely contributed by Rio Ferdinand - his own goal...heh...quite funny if you watch it...
I didn't watch the first half of the games...I only watched the second half games...At that time, Portsmouth was already leading the match with 1 goal. It looked like that Man U really force forward to get an equaliser...but it all seems not working...However, at one time Man U had their best chance to score...but it was David James, the goalkeeper of Portsmouth who failed the Man U effort...But, they did created a havoc in front of the Portsmouth goal area....
The second goal for Portsmouth is quite funny to me - it was scored by Ferdinand. It happened due to misunderstanding between Rio and van Der Saar...At that time, Rio was challenging the Portsmouth striker (I can't remember who) to get the ball which was rolling to left side towards Man U goal...at the same time, van Der Saar come out from his position to catch the ball when Rio kick the ball to the goalkeeper but unfortunately, he kick it more to the right side of the keeper...so, the ball just went through into the Man U goal...hehe...I was just smiling watching it...
Man U manage to score one goal before the final whistle....So, this was their second defeat in EPL matches...Previously, they lost to Arsenal with 2-1 goals at Emirates stadium...
I'm also disappointed to know that Arsenal lost 1-0 to West Ham United in their recent EPL match...They really need to win all the balance games if they want to secure a place for the Champion League competition next season....

My Favorite F1 Driver - Fernando Alonso

Yeargh!!...I know...I'm not going to talk about football today...I wanna talk about F1. Last season, I fully support Fernando Alonso to beat Schumacher...heh...and he did it...Actually, my wife love to watch F1 race...Initially, I don't have much interest to watch the F1...but then, when I look at my wife, so interested about F1 (she even surf the internet, looking for the latest news of F1)...and even my father in law also can make a good comment about the F1 racing....only then, I become interested to follow the F1 race...
So, it happen that my wife and my father in law is a full supporter of Schumacher...so, I choose to support Alonso to beat Schumacher... hahaha...and he did it in the last season with Renault team...but the race in the last season is really interesting with those 2 drivers compete with each other very closely....In fact, the F1 champion for the last season could only be decided in the last race of the F1 series...At the beginning of the series, it seems that Alonso was really comfortable leading for the F1 world champion title until in the middle of the series....Renault team having too much of mechanical problem...The most interesting race when Alonso was leading and in the final lap of the race, just a few metres from the finishing line, his car's drive shaft teared out and can't push forward anymore....very disappointing but when I think of it today, I'm just smiling...quite funny though...
So, for this season, they had just started with the race in Melbourne, Australia. This coming weekend, it will be held in Sepang, Malaysia. In Melbourne, the race was 100% lead by the new Ferrari driver (Schumacher retire), Kimi Raikonnen (regular name in FI, used to be with Sauber Petronas team). Alonso (now with McLaren team) was in second place but the time gap between him and Raikonnen is quite far away. New F1 driver also from McLaren team, Luis Hamilton (British) gave an amazing performance in time qualifying testing as well as in the race. He manage to finish at the podium with third place.
With the coming race in Sepang, we will see how far Alonso can keep up to defend his world champion title and also the rising power of the new F1 driver, Luis Hamilton...We look forward for the coming race...

The "Little Mozard" Tomas Rosicky of Arsenal

I just love to watch Tomas Rosicky to play for Arsenal. He used to pair up with Cesc Fabregas...Combining them both, they has become a headache to their opponent's defence...heh...
The exiting Robert Pires (also one of my favorite footballer) make Arsenal to find the replacement for him. So, Tomas Rosicky was signed for Arsenal in May 2006 and he inherit Pires' number 7 shirt. I still remember his 2 fantastic volley kick goal scoring during the 2006 World Cup which help Czech to win over USA.
Playing in the position of attacking midfielder shows his natural talent of a footballer. He is somehow is the architect of the game to his team. I found he is a really hardworking player and always has the high spirit to his team. When sometime he loose the ball to his opponent, he chase it back and do whatever it takes in getting the ball back.
One thing I saw when he play alongside with Fabregas, they just love to do the short passing but in the fast pace. Actually, the technique is good because you could left behind the defender quickly but they were always miscalculated the velocity of the ball...I mean how hard they should kick the ball and the timing for his pair to move up from its position....the result - they easily loose the ball to the opponent. But when everything goes fine, they really making a havoc in front of the opponent's goal area...
Up to this moment, Rosicky had scored a few times fro Arsenal but none of the goal coming from his volley kick like he did in the recent World Cup...I just wish if he could do that again in the coming season...

EPL Match - Liverpool vs Arsenal 31st March 2007

The 2 big giants face each others again in EPL match. Liverpool vs Arsenal on 31st of March 2007 at Anfield. This 2 teams had already face each others 2 times this season at Anfield. Arsenal can be proud with what they had achieved in the 2 previous games. They thrown away Liverpool 3-1 in the FA round games followed by 6-3 win over Liverpool in the Carling Cup match.
But Arsenal win record was teared up by the hatrick from Peter Crouch, the tallest man in the Liverpool team. The game end up with Liverpool 4 and Arsenal 1.
I myself felt very much dissapointed with the result. Arsenal at least could make the game end up with draw, but the fourth goal scored by Crouch in the minutes of 81, was really a killer to the game itself.
Nevertheless, it could have been Arsenal still carried away with the dissappointment results that they had gained despite an excellent style of game this season.
Anyway, Arsenal need not to lose the balance of the games if they want to secure a place in the Champions League Cup next season.

Thiery Henry - is he still relevant to Arsenal?

Thiery Henry is one of the world most known footballer. His skill and type of play help the Arsenal team to become one of the 4 most competitive team in EPL. He's my no 1 most favorite football player.
However, the recent season of EPL (2006/07) gaves a lot of frustration to Arsenal fans. They lost in the final of Carling Cup. They lost in the FA Cup round and they are far from the EPL title crown. And the worst, they lost in the Champions League to PSV Eindhoven.
Although Henry did not play in that match of the Champions League but from other matches in the EPL show that he is not that fit enough to play for Arsenal.
It could be because he serve a long and continuos duty for his both country and Arsenal club. This could be make him become fatigue and just need a break for a while for him to be back in the shape again.
But I did disappointed when I watched his action in EPL matches. He seems not to be so "hardworking" member in Arsenal team. He just gather himself in the defence area of the opponents without having the sense to come back quickly to help the Arsenal defending their net.
In the past season, I used to watch him so helpful to the other players of the team and so hardworking in getting the ball back to his foot. He never loose the ball so easily in the past season. And if the ball was snatched from his foot by the opponent, he will do whatever it takes in getting back the ball. But, all of that attitudes seems not presence in him this season...Hmm...perhaps he just need a break...
Anyway, as a loyal fan to the Arsenal club and to Theiry itself....I believe, Arsenal will shine in the next coming season....I pray I'm right...heh....In fact, the young team of Arsenal looks so impressive this season (regardless they got bitten in the important games)......Go Arsenal...Go Theiry.....

Steven Gerrad

Steven Gerrad - one of my most favorite England player. Alongside with him is Aaron Lennon - also one of my favorite player. I love to see the stunning volley kick from Steven Gerrad right into the net of his opponent. His style of goal scoring is always amaze many of the spectators. But sadly, he play for Liverpool - just image if he could play with Arsenal - my favorite team....they could blast any other team...heh...
Lennon - one of the most charismatic football player. His small size never make him one level lower from his opponents. But he did always kick the ball to the beam of the goal rather than into the net...heh...Really pull out the nerve and more dramatic match...anyway, he always be a big problem to the defences...

Football Crazy

Well, its almost the end of the EPL season....Man U looks like really strong in the race of the top position of the EPL title....

My favorite team, Arsenal has no luck this season....After their lost in the final of Carling Cup to Chelsea, their worst spell seem to follow in the FA Cup when lost to Blackburn Rovers and then followed by their defeat to PSV Eindhoven in the Champion League.....what a sad story....In each of the match where they lost to their opponents, they got a lot of good chances but they didn't take it....if not, for sure they have kill the game since from the beginning.....

Nevertheless, Arsenal young team still has a long way to go...looking at their teenange player, the club is certainly has a bright future ahead them....Just sit still and watch....the gunners will never be gunned down...not again...Yeah!!! Long live Arsenal....Shoot 'em all!!!!........
